Autumn Skies album cover 2013. Design by Sigurlaug Gísladóttir.

Autumn Skies is the first album by the band Snorri Helgason. Snorri previously released two critically acclaimed solo albums under his own name, I’m Gonna Put My Name On Your Door (2009) and Winter Sun (2011) before forming a band with the close group of friends that made up his touring band at around the time the recording of Autumn Skies began in the autumn of 2012. Those people also happen to be kind of the cream of the Icelandic music scene, Daniel Friðrik Böðvarsson(Moses Hightower) on guitar, Guðmundur Óskar Guðmundsson (Hjaltalín, Tilbury, Borko, Mono Town) on bass, Magnús Trygvason Eliassen (Amiina, Sin Fang, Adhd, Tilbury) on drums and Sigurlaug Gísladóttir (múm & Mr.Silla) on vocals and ukulele.

The album was produced by Snorri and Guðmundur Óskar and recorded mostly in their studio in Reykjavík, Iceland. The album also features contributions from pianist Daði Birgisson and multi-instrumentalist and arranger Aaron Roche.
