I have arrived in London.
Been here for about two weeks and am still just settling in, getting to know my neighborhood and taking it easy. Nothing inspires me more than buzzing traffic noise, wailing sirens and busy, crowded streets. Which is exactly
what this town blasts in your face at every turn. So I think that new music should be coming from all this inspiration very soon. Demo work for the next album will begin soon with help from my brand new Apogee One interface.
I’ll let you know how that goes of course.
Played my first gig in London last thursday. It was an “Airwaves Warm-up Night” at Hoxton Square Bar & Grill which is just around the corner from my new apartment (nice!). It went really well and I had a great time. I even got to hang out with friends, the lovely Retro Stefson. And that is never boring.
Next up in London is on the 23rd at The Portobello Acoustic Sessions at The Lounge @ The Metropolitan Club, 60 Great Western Rd. near Westbourne Park. It you are in London I’ll hopefully see you there.
Speaking of Airwaves… I’ll be going back to Iceland for a couple of shows at this years festival. You can get tickets for Iceland Airwaves 2010 here. Great line-up and a fantastic party guaranteed. See you there!
From Iceland I’ll be going straight to a Canadian tour with my lovely friend Lindy Vopnfjord and his Volvo. We’re planning a two to three week long tour of eastern Canada from Halifax, through NS, NB, QB and ON (and maybe
even PEI & Newfoundland too). I can’t wait.
I’ve played Canada a lot in the past with my band Sprengjuhöllin and it has always been a blast. I can’t wait. It’s going to be ridiculous. And NS at that time of year is just… ridiculous. We don’t have trees like that in Iceland. No siree.
The release dates for my album have changed a bit. It will be out on October 28th in Europe an the US & Canada. Yipee!
Check out my new beard. Gosh!
That’s all for now.
Talk to you soon,
